Day 40 – December 2nd

Today, I met Helena and our lunch date quickly turned into 5hrs, she is easy to talk to and we get on well, I will see her again however a troubling pattern is starting to emerge.  With each quality date I have with new people I regret how badly I have handled certain dates in the past, whilst my new “just be my self” strategy is an undoubted success, what if I have already let my soul mate slip by as a result of my more guarded attitude to first dates in the past………this troubles me deeply and is eating me up inside.

I have now reached the open communication stage with Ange, so hopefully I will speak to her soon.

I am exceptionally tired today, there was either a malfunction or some lunatic messing around with the fire alarm as it went of at 11:45pm, 2am, 4am and 5:30am…….this does not lend itself to a quality night’s sleep.  I didn’t exercise as a result of this fatigue, but hopefully will return to the gym Monday.

My gums continue to hurt slightly and I hope and pray that everything is OK.  I am currently playing phone tag with my mother, although picked up from her message that she intends to retire at the end of the academic year, it will be interesting to see what she plans on doing during the “golden years”.
