Day 41 – December 3rd

The whole Eva incident was finally closed off today with a final phone call, I’ve now listed my Phoenix tickets on ebay so hopefully someone will buy them, we’ll wait and see.  Speaking of basketball my beloved Raptors beat the Bobcats so that is indeed a beautiful thing, as I write this the Patriots are all tied up with the Ravens……will the streak stay alive.

We had a mini power cut in the building today, only for about 2 minutes but it is probably the only time I have seen all my neighbours in the hallway at the same time.

My gums are hurting a little bit today, this is not a good thing and hopefully it is only temporary.

A day of connecting with people today, Helena sent me a facebook message so that appears to be progressing whilst Angie sent me a mini essay on eharmony.  With a day to reflect I’m not sure how Helena will turn out we’ll wait and see.

The main connections however came from overseas…….my little sister telling me what she wants for Christmas, a nice email from first squash club in response to my request to post an article about my father on the club’s website, it will be discussed at the next committee meeting and hopefully approved.

The biggest surprise though was an email from an old university friend, Mike Goodinson……I owe a lot to Mike, we bounced a lot of ideas off each other in the final year and he was certainly a key part of keeping me on track to get a first class degree.

Strangely the only real dispute the two of us had in the final year was with regard to one of the 3 women I have met during my life that have gained “dream girl” status……..Debrah Rodham……..she certainly made an impression but when I told Mike about her he was so disgusted that he threatened to dispand our friendship………looking back it’s funny although didn’t appear so at the time.

I wonder if there will ever be a 4th girl to reach dream status, given I met the first at 11 years old and the 3rd when I was 29, I guess according to the mathematics they only arrive once every 9 years on so………this means I’m not due until I’m 38 four long years away.  Despite this I will chose to remain positive and give the day a 6 out 10.
