Day 166 – April 5th

I have been back home from my my date with Marina a couple of hours and having had time to ponder it have come to the conclusion that a) You either have chemistry or you don’t and b) I like skinny women.

Marina was pleasant enough, she was certainly very pretty and immaculately dressed…..although she was a little larger than I expected, she certainly wasn’t fat she would be described as probably average…..however as I have said in point b) I like skinny women.  She certainly, and how can I put this had plenty “up top” and her choice of dress accentuated these particular assets…….there is a certain guy in my office who would have certainly been impressed and I must admit I took a couple of peaks myself self.  (Peaks – Get it, a clever play on words).

We actually chatted for about 2 hours, it was pleasant enough, she had interesting things to say, and we have quite a bit common however there was certainly no “chemistry” from either of our perspectives.  Why is chemistry so difficult to find it doesn’t matter if I’m chatting to a women or man, you either have it or you don’t.  I am hoping that my view of “skinny” is not factoring into my view of chemistry but I suspect that maybe it is.

Whilst my view of today is one thing, if you lined up all the “super models” in the world the two I would pick out Kate Moss and Jodie Kidd………it is just a fact that I like the “skinny” ones…….does this make me a bad person, maybe it does…….but it just happens to be the way I am wired, it is no wonder that I like Asian women.

Given what I wrote about chemistry earlier on……..I am now getting a little depressed about the whole dating game however I refuse to throw in the towel, and will be back at speed dating Tuesday, if I am going down I will at least go down swinging.

What else has happened today, in the morning I was back on the squash court although wasn’t fully recovered from yesterday but managed to sneak out a 3-2 win, I say sneak out because I won 10-9 in the 5th having squandered about 7 match balls.

In the afternoon I went to see the movie “Run Fat Boy Run” it is a kind of a rocky story but instead of boxing put in marathon running and instead of a “heavy weight boxing champion” put in a regular Joe. Regardless, I enjoyed and would recommend it as it has also allowed me to learn a new phrase “the scrotal zone” and to garner another favorite quote, although it’s more of an interaction.

“There is no way you could run a marathon!”

“Why not?”

“Because you’re a lazy bastard”    I am not sure why, but I find this kind of humor extremely funny.

Moving to sports, the Jays have beaten Boston again at baseball, Liverpool and Arsenal have tied 1-1 for the second time in 4 days……the Raptors look to be going down in New Jersey to continue the recent slump, but even more shocking as I write this North Carolina are down by 28 after only 15 minutes of play to Kansas.

Mood for the day 7 out of 10
