Day 174 – April 13th

My walk with Shannon fell through as a result of flu like symptoms (her not me)……I contemplated going to the gym but given that my body was still feeling a little tired decided to skip it and as a result have been feeling sluggish all day.  I did go for my usual Sunday stroll and upon measuring it on Toronto maps looks like I did about 8km…….I guess for quite a few people this would be classed as a decent walk, but I still feel a little guilty about not exercising.

Not much else going on today although  I spoke to mother on the phone for about an hour……and spent the rest of the day pretty much watching sport.

On the basketball court the Raptors got manhandled by Detroit, despite Detroit playing the second stringers for a large part of the game……..it wasn’t all doom and gloom for Toronto today though the baseball team won in Texas, and in a bizarre twist of fate given I wrote about him a couple of weeks back. Toronto FC beat David Beckham and the LA Galaxy……….you go from playing for the England national side to getting beaten by Toronto FC……..I am still not convinced the whole Beckham in LA thing will work out. (From a football perspective that is, it already appears to have worked out from a marketing perspective).

The biggest sports news however is that as Roger Feder’s bid for a grand slam stumbled at the first hurdle in Australia……so too did Tiger Woods at Augusta, he didn’t look at his best all weekend and whilst a 2nd place finish in a major would be pretty good for most people I’m sure it doesn’t mean much to Tiger.

More hypno today, I guess in around another week I should start witnessing some change.
