Day 181 – April 20th
Today had the potential to be great day, but sadly has come up somewhat short…..the day started well enough with a 9:30 Pilates session, I’m not sure if it was the earlier time but I felt particularly energetic and as a result raced through the exercises with relative ease……..because of what I was doing I know that tomorrow my abs will be on fire…….but at the time felt I may as well just go for it. In fact the only thing that through me off was when at one time when I was asked to perform an exercise faster but slower……what is that supposed to mean.
Following the session a quick back workout and then home to watch the game, what a disappointing start for the Raptors and to be honest the game was over before it began, I won’t expand on it here as I blogged after each quarter of the game, so if you want to read my thoughts click Game 1.
I wouldn’t have minded watching the Laker game but instead, went to midtown to meet Janet………Janet was a very pretty girl in terms of physical appearance, was easy to talk to (We chatted for about an hour) and we had a reasonable amount in common…….however at the end I had no real interest in meeting her again. To be honest I can’t really figure it out, there is no reason why I shouldn’t have been attracted to this girl but I wasn’t. Whilst I never really believed it before, based on the experience of my last few dates I am now a firm believer in that you either have chemistry or you don’t………and from my perspective and I’m pretty sure from her’s as well I certainly wasn’t feeling the chemistry today.
Given I had done any cardio, I decided to walk home and when I got home decided to measure it on Toronto Maps and discovered that from Yonge/Davisville to my house is approx 5km……..not bad if I do say so myself, maybe I should think about running some 10km in the future.
Whilst online I also read that the TTC has decided to not go on strike as a tentative wage deal has been reached…….and in other Toronto news one of the baseball players has been cut from the team……I will not use the term fired given he’ll still receive about $8 million and doesn’t have to show up to work.
Whilst I am a massive Formula 1 fan, I have never really seen the appeal of Indy Car racing which is hugely popular in the States, whilst I am not a fan I can appreciate it when something special occurs as it did today, as for the first time a race was won by a female driver……hats off to Danika Patrick.
Given the Raptors lost and my date didn’t go too well…….I should be in a pretty bad mood, but strangely I’m not and actually feel fairly upbeat……..I wouldn’t say that I am necessarily feeling more confident but there have definitely been changes in my mood since starting the hypnotherapy.
Mood for the day 7 out of 10

Raptors v Orlando – Game 1
I will be posting a full review of the day later on, but for the time being I will post after every quarter of game 1 in the Raptors/Orlando playoff series:
Q1 – The arena is not even full, and this is supposedly the number 3 team in the Eastern conference, the fans who have showed up have the whole blue/white thing going on and appear pretty coordinated. On to the game and the Magic have come out on fire everything they shoot is going in, and it looks like it will be a long day for the Raptors, they have scored 43 points and lead the Raptors by 23. They are 9/11 from 3 point range surely there is no way they can keep this up.
Q2 – The Magic are at 51 points with 8 and half mins left in the half, however hitting 50 appears to have triggered the Raptors into life and they are now playing a little better and clawing themselves back into the game, some of the 3’s the Magic were hitting earlier are now rimming out and the Raptors have clawed themselves back into the contest and trail 60-47 heading into the half. Whilst this is still bad, a 13 point deficit is certainly better than the 24 points it was earlier in the game.
Q3 – The Raptors are playing a lot better now and are getting the ball inside to Bosh, who is starting deliver……the Magic shooting has cooled significantly and now the Raptor bench including Kapono is staring to get…..things are looking good as the Raptors get the lead into single digits, but then Bosh fouls Howard to prevent a dunk and then seconds later he is called for a foul whilst going for a rebound and is now on the bench with 4. The lead is down to 10 as the 3rd quarter closes and will be interesting to see how long Bosh is nailed to the bench.
Q4 – The Raptors had the lead down to 5 only to allow the Magic to go on a 10-0 run to put the game seemingly out of reach with 7mins to go……..down the stretch and the Raptors are looking tired they are hoisting up shots and failing to drive to the rim……….it comes as no surprise that they fall 114-100.
Whilst it is a crushing defeat for the Raptors I still have faith for the series as I am hoping the team will come out of the blocks far quicker next time around, as to be honest this game was lost in the 1st quarter. Whilst the team played well to come back from the 23 point hole it was clear that they simply ran out of gas.
