Day 188 – April 27th

The wave of depression continues, I thought this morning I had temporarily recovered……only to be knocked down by another wave later in the day……..I honestly do not know what is going………I know that a) I need a change and b) Am searching for something……..however I have no idea what it is.  Searching for a needle in a haystack would be bad enough but at least you know what you are searching for…….for me I appear to be just spinning my wheels, travelling in circles and getting no where it is no wonder I am so tired.

So what has happened today not much………..didn’t get to the gym as my hip continues to give me grief, I am supposed to be back on the squash court tomorrow but to be honest feel as nervous as a turkey in the weeks prior to Thanksgiving as I get the impression something serious could happen.

In the morning I watched Ferrari cruise to victory in the Spanish Grand Prix, although Lewis Hamilton’s championship challenge appears to have staggered back into life…….in the afternoon I went to see the movie “getting over Sarah Marshell”  it is actually a funny movie, however I wasn’t really in the mood to enjoy it.

As is traditional Sunday evening, I went for my stroll, and noticed the street cars running (albeit with few people on them)…..get home turn on the TV and find that the TTC strike is over, well not over but the provisional government has passed a back to work bill….so they are now working without any agreement in place.  It is now that I am a little confused, one of the things a Union has is the right to strike, however if government can pass laws to send them back to work……then do they really have this right at all……I would say not because if they didn’t show up to work now, they would be breaking the law.

If anyone can explain if the TTC Union does or does not have the right to strike please post a reply, as at the moment I’m confused.
